Mission

Objectives

The Centre Fiers et Forts’s main objective is to protect and love children stricken by poverty, criminality, social and geographical problems. Most of these children lived on the streets, had no family name and no identity. The Centre Fiers et Forts, in cooperation with the Marrakech Tribunal helps them obtain an identity.

The Centre Fiers et Forts ‘s main ambition is to send the children to school.

CFF was founded in 2004

The Center started in a garage, and was later enabled by the help and generous funding of the Association Al Baraka, to build an outstanding Educational Farm.

More than being a shelter to a hundred children from 6 to 18 years old, the Center is a home that looks aftert heir schooling, food and medical problems as well as their general well-being.

The children

Brahim, a  success story:

In 2005, Brahim was only 12 years old when he arrived at the Centre Fiers et Forts. His mother had died and his father was  blind. Brahim, despite his Young age, was in charge of his little sisters. He had never been to school. The Centre took responsability for his education. Having learned to read, write and count, Brahim could enter a profesional training in gardening which helped him find work at the Essaadi Hotel, in Marrakech. Today, this young 24 years old man runs a Riad (equivalent of B&B )in Marrakech, speaks 3 languages, holds a drivers’ licence and lives completely independently. His regular visits to his «brothers and sisters» at the Centre fills us with joy!

Educational farm

The Centre Fiers et Forts opened his Educational Farm in October 2014. It now welcomes more than a hundred children from 6 to 18 years old, amongst them nearly twenty boarders (children on full-board) that have no other shelter.

The 3 classrooms offer an appropriate space for learning following the National Curriculum. Other multi-purpose rooms are used by the  educators for Theater, Music, Dance and Art classes but also for chess-playing and computer classes. The vast outside spaces give the children where to expend their energy, on the sportsground or in the gardens.

Our Permaculture Program, on the Educational Farm, is where the children harvest fresh organic products straight to their plates and learn about working the land. The vegetable garden’s irrigation system is generated by our solar panels, producing enough energy to pump water from the well.

The animals have a very positive therapeutic effect. The children develop their sense of responsability and liberate their feelings.
